Can one adjust the size of the Histogram in the While Recording Screen?

As well as listening to music, I do a lot of recording with my iRiver H300-series devices.  I find the Histogram to be very useful, but it is pretty small, only the thickness of one row of type.

I've been searching through the manual, the wiki, and the forums to try to find if there is a way to increase the size of the histogram in the While Recording Screen (henceforth WRS).  I couldn't figure out if there is a way to create a theme for the WRS, like the way you can modify WPS themes or sbs files.

A thread on the Histogram from 2010 included a mention by Petur that it should be easy to do once skins are implemented, as they now seem to be.  He also mentioned that the size of the Histogram could be changed by using a larger font size.  I have tried that out, but that is still pretty limiting.  A better size for my weak eyes would be three or four lines thick, rather than one.

Does anyone have any advice for me?  Did I overlook something in the documentation somewhere?
