SansaClip+ vs Clip Zip: Display in sunlight, runtime and more
« on: August 27, 2013, 06:58:34 PM »
If mentioned in test, usually the display of plus is better for usage in sunlight.
But for example in http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,34618.0.html
its stated the other way round.

RDS is a fine thing, and metal clip instead of plastic clip as well, but thats no reason to buy either one of these.
Can the clip be removed on plus and zip, as it was possible on plain old Sansa Clip?

Will aac drain down the battery of clip+ faster than on clip zip? (as afaik only zip allows hardware decoding of aac?!)

What about the rockbox runtime? According to http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaRuntime rb on clip+ is superior to ofw on clip+, but there are no measurements of clip zip.

Thank you

PS: R.I.P. Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip. Very sad that none of the new players has this nice little wheel.....

Same processor in both.  Hardware decoding of audio isn't used on modern devices.
