Autoplay or autocreate a playlist with broken screen
(1/1)

Hello all,
I've been using a Sansa Fuze v2 for more than a year with a broken screen. Before the screen busted, it was set to shuffle and repeat one directory with a bunch of MP3's in it. When I turned it on, I would just hit the play button, and it would play. I wanted to start a new playlist since it was getting stale, so I reloaded the files in the directory. The problem is that it stopped playing when I would turn it on. I then also stupidly reloaded rockbox on it :)
So, how can I get rockbox to automatically build a dynamic playlist of a folder with a bunch of MP3's in it, and then automatically play that playlist. The screen is unreadable so the GUI is useless to me. I looked at the 'blind users' FAQ, but I didn't find anything in there that might help.
I suppose if somebody wanted to walk me through selecting a file located in the /music directory from the default start screen, that might get things rolling :)
thanks!

I would make a playlist on your PC, put it in 1_folder , then edit the config file to make the start screen the file menu:
http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansafuzev2/rockbox-buildap5.html#x21-406000E
I think then you could just hit select a few times and it'd start playing. Maybe theres an easier way but thats how I'd do it.

That did the trick!!! thanks. I was able to get into it and start playing a track... and then I just kept adding more and its letting me hit next :)
thanks!
Now, to see about that voice thing to get it to speak to me.
