I can't get Sansa Fuze+ to work at all

Installations claim success, when it boots the main menu has random corruption, almost any selection causes a crash with unknown instruction or some other corruption-type message. I have reinstalled multiple times. I do have the ability to boot to the OF and that works fine (well, as poorly as it did before).
I have tried everything I can think of but I am stuck. Help me Rhonda!

How did you install it? Did you try to rename the .rockbox directory to .rockbox-sav and install a new one? also the bootloader present on ours server is pretty old now. You might want to try to install this one:

Ah, still no joy. The menu comes up corrupt, and a movement or two ends with a memory fault or unexpected exception. Maybe I have a special FUZE+?
I sure hate the OF - the navigation is terrible, it is almost random, must try repeatedly to get to the file list menu to choose my next audiobook. Really looking forward to RockBox!

you might want to check that your fuze+ file system isn't corrupted
