Power Sansa Clip+ ... only after holding the power button for 5 seconds
Jurij:
Hi guys...
My Sansa Clip+ Rockboxen turns itself on all the time, and I have to scroll the audiobooks back every time. Is it possible to make it harder to turn on? Like if you had to push 2 buttons or had to push 1 button for 5 seconds. As of now it turns itself on in my bag.
Help will be much appreciated.

Why not keep it in a little matchbox or the like in your bag?
Protecting electronic devices on the move also gives you the advantage of reduced crud in switches and risk of smashed screens.

I don't think I've ever seen the clip turn on accidentally. How does it happen?
Jurij:
Well, it's in the smallest pocket inside my training bag and when something pushes the power button it turns on. You just have to press the power button down, there is no time interval at all between pressing it and the player turning on. And sometimes I turn it on accidentally when I put it on the table with the power button down. It's a very easy key to press down, and the audio book continues automatically even if I paused it before turning it off.
Right now I am only listening to short audio books. Because I don't want to use 10 minutes each day just searching for a chapter.

The problem with this request is that the power on code is handled by the device hardware itself and is not under software control. This could be worked around by having the bootloader pause for a moment then check if the power button is held down. If not, just power down like nothing happened. However, this would require updating the bootloader which is non trivial and probably not going to happen anytime soon.
If you wanted to try hacking it, it'd be fairly straightforward to check out the AMS bootloader code in /bootloader.
