Iriver h320 need help pls

Hi

I recently bought an H320 from eBay for $70, but the player gets stuck at the firmware loading screen which displays "1.03 usa", i also noticed the screen flickers while it is stuck.

So i opened it up and removed the hdd and managed to get it to boot into the menu.

I contacted the seller and he offered to pay for repairs or grant me a full return.

So my question is should i try to have him buy a new hdd? Is it possible to just put in a new hdd without copying anything from the old one?

Or should i just take the safe option and return the item.

Yes it is.

Serenity:
As long as you use a 5mm thick 1.8" IDE drive formatted to FAT32, you should just be able to plug it in.  The iRiver firmware will accept it, and you can install Rockbox.

See if you can score a cheaper drive to make sure there isn't another issue before you jump into a massive upgrade or anything.
