Audible click right after setting Repeat/Shuffle

I've noticed this issue on my Clip Zip, and I have no other players to test it right now. I thought I'd ask here if this happens to someone else it before filing a bug report.

A loud click can be heard on both left and right channels if you change Repeat or Shuffle from the Quickscreen while using Meier crossfeed. The click is louder than the Moderate keyclick, which makes it quite annoying.

Oddly, this only happens when using the quickscreen and Meier crossfeed. It doesn't happen changing Repeat/Shuffle from the shortcuts menu or the main menu. It doesn't happen with crossfeed Off or Custom crossfeed either.

To reproduce this:

1.- Enable Meier crossfeed: Settings->Sound Settings->Crossfeed->Crossfeed->Simple(Meier)
2.- Make sure you have the Quick Screen enabled: Settings->General Settings->System->Use Shortcuts Menu instead of Quick Screen->No
3.- Start playback of any song.
4.- Access the Quick Screen from the WPS. On a Sansa Clip Zip, the Quick Screen opens with a long press of the Home button (the back arrow).
5.- From the Quick Screen, change the setting of Repeat and/or Shuffle to any other value.
6.- Leave the Quick Screen. The WPS should show up.
7.- Wait 2-3 seconds. Listen for the click.

Can you reproduce this? Any thoughts?

Just tried it on the simulator, the click can be heard as well.

Just noticed the click also happens after loading any .cfg file by opening it from the file browser.

Yes, the same on other hardware.

Clip+ does this and so do my iRiver H140 and H340.

If I go in the normal settings menus and toggle the eq on/off there is no noise, but if I use the Quick Screen to do the same there is a loud pop about 3 seconds later.  I also use Quick Screen for File View, Sort Directories, and Crossfeed.  It's the same with each: settings menu changes make no noise but the same change in Quick Screen makes a loud pop three seconds later.

I am using daily build of July 13 on each player.

edit: checked with today's daily build on my Clip+ and is the same.  I confirm that it only happens if Crossfeed is enabled and set to Meier.
