Is it possible to use < and > buttons without the display going on?

Hi,

see the Subject for my question. :)

I thought it would help to save battery if the display would stay off when the "Left", "Right", "Up" and "Down" buttons are pressed to skip between music tracks or FM stations, and to change the volume.

I often put my player in the pocket and press these buttons without looking at the screen, so there's no need to switch on and waste battery.

Stefan
