Sansa Clip Zip no longer booting
« on: July 16, 2013, 06:32:27 AM »
I put Rockbox on my Sansa Clip Zip several months ago. It worked fine for about a week. When I  put a micro sd card in it for the first time it wouldn't come out of standby without removing the card. Shortly after that it stopped booting altogether. I was so furious that I just  had to put it out of my sight. Now being a bit more rational I decided to ask is there anything that could be tried to get it to boot again or should I just bin it?.
When I say its not booting it shows the Rockbox logo at top of the screen and Boot 4.0 at bottom.
Then it falshes several text lines one says loading firmware.
Then it jumps back to Rockbox logo at the top and a serial number at the bottom.
It doesn't do anything else just says on that screen.I have to hold the power button to get it to go off again.
