clip zip boot error with sd card

(1/1)

luisdent:
I've searched around and don't see anything specific to this issue.  When I have an sd card my clip zip won't boot.  It gives me ata error -4.  If I press power again I receive ata error -3.  It cycles between the two and I can't boot the device.  Remove the sd card and it boots.  Is there a known issue with sd cards?  Should I format the card and make it a different file system or something?

luisdent:
Anyone?  This is driving me crazy.  The weird thing is that it works sometimes, but as the player auto powers off it's a pain in the butt...

luisdent:
Well, I'm not sure what the issue was, but I got a 64gb card and haven't had any issues at all...

I have this problem here can somebody tell me how you fix Error -4

luisdent:
I got a new card and formatted it with fat32 (not exFat) and I've never had a single issue.  I never tried formatting my old card, because it was exFat and it worked most of the time.  I found out they are not the same thing I guess.  Have you tried formatting it to fat32?
