sansa clip plus bug with database (im guessing)

(1/1)

reckonersr:
Ill try to be as specific as possible so this will be a longer post, sorry.

 So, I have bought sansa clip plus, and since I plan to use mostly flac i decided to rockbox it. After a day of normal use without a hitch I got a 32 gig card and filled it with flac music. At first nothing was amiss, but then at a point while playback in the database screen glitched in mid-song and (very) loud screeching noise started playing, but the player didn't freeze so I tried to change a song and screen said database not ready do you want to initialize(yes/no). When I pressed yes it was taking like forever to add songs to library (1 song a minute and i had more than 1500 songs), so i decided to turn player off. It took a while to shut down (20-30 seconds) and when i turned it on again everything was in its normal, pre-bug state. So I thought it was one-of error and continued to use it. After some more use (from database again) i had same error. This time instead shutting down I tried to play from file browser and it said "Error accessing playlist control file (-4)".

I tried initializing database again and same as before, taking forever. After a shutdown i tried initializing while everything was working and it worked perfectly, after like 30 sec everything was ready. This bug kept popping out on different tracks at different time after different amount of use (I'd say once in an 1.5-2 hours) it happens both in database playback and file-browser playback with one (for me major) difference in that in file browser there isn't a deafening noise so at least id don't have to fear heart attack.

After some googling i found some people with parts of this problem but noone with same as me. As a solution i tried formatting my sd card with both sd fromater and windows formater and checked both drives for system errors with correction turned on, it didn't help.

Obviously any help would be very much appreciated.

Got the same problem (32GB card too and all music there - ape/flac) - loud continuous noise (really unpleasant, easily can make you deaf) periodically, approximately once per 2-4 times (every time running player during ~40-70 minutes). It could depend on player settings I think (buffers, etc.), and I'm thinking about trying another version of rockbox after tweaking if it won't help. I'm not using a database, only playlists stored in the player's memory.
Also got weird playback stop with an error on the screen - write fat sector error or kind of it, I'll add exact error here next time it appears.
Both these problems are the only ones I have with rockbox, first one cures with turning player on-off, second one needs player restart (holding the button for 20 secs or so).

Here is the error after which I have to make a 20sec reset:
flush_fat_sector()
- could not write sector 7939 (error - 26)

Looks like all of these problems are solved in daily builds, no errors for several weeks.
