Keeping Child from Deleting Files- Can you help?

My son uses a Sanza Clip Zip with Rockbox  for the voice output.  He is blind with a handful of other disabilities.  I need a way to prevent him from deleting his music.  Sometimes his fingers have deleted it before he slows down to think about what he should do.  We're working on the self-control part.  Does anyone know of a way to prevent him from deleting files?

The only solution I can think of would be to set up a development environment and compile your own build with the delete option removed from the context menu.
