Sansa ClipZip vs SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 - Patch or Dev Build?

Will either a patch (such as: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=8g6efbt0rlrf574sa9i4936403&topic=34758.0) or the Rockbox Development Builds fix the issue where the database (after selecting microSD directory) will not update properly? Any ideas, solutions, etc?

I had this card in a HTC One V but due to a jack hw problem, it's no longer useful. i have an dslr but would rather use the 64GB in a ClipZip and I loathe the Sandisk original fw (not even sure if it works there).
