clip zip usb issues

so about a half year ago I got a sansa clip zip

for the most part rockbox works great on it, the main problem I have its had usb issues from like day one that I put rockbox on it
sometimes I plug it in and it doesnt work, sometimes it freezes with the usb graphic on
sometimes it goes to white screen with some error code
id say it works maybe 1/3rd the times I connect it

Anyway recently i switched from the dev build to stable hoping that would mean this is fixed but alas it is not.
Does anyone know if this is a bug that will be fixed? Im pretty sure its not the cable.

Of course the idea is to fix all bugs, however, this is a lot easier to say than it is to do.

Rockbox offers a dual-boot function (consult the manual for your device if you are unaware of this), so you are able to use the original firmware for USB if you need to.

Are you running a non-default theme? I was having similar issues (white screen / error codes) upon plugging in, until I reverted to one of the default Rockbox themes.

When using the Doppelgaenger theme I was getting issues on most insertions, however have yet to experience it when using the default.

Question: does this but have a Flyspray? If not, creating one might allow this bug to get squashed faster.
