Rockbox Ports are now being developed for various digital audio players!
Your post is very confusing.Without the link to the SanDisk forums, I wouldn't even know what device you were talking about. The title states that Rockbox Utility is not responding, but the description makes little mention of Rockbox Utility except for removing Rockbox - with no further mention of whether or not it succeeded (I am guessing it did not, but you don't actually state this). You then go on to mention the Sansa Updater failing, which is something you should be talking to SanDisk about. If the SanDisk updater fails, as well as a manual update, then Rockbox Utility (or a manual installation of Rockbox) will almost certainly fail as well...as all it is doing behind the scenes it patching a firmware file and performing a "manual update" itself. Capturing the log from a failed install in Rockbox Utility may provide some more information, though. As a side note, if you intend to keep Rockbox installed, there is no need to update the firmware manually using the Sansa Updater, doing so will uninstall the Rockbox bootloader (Rockbox will still be present on the internal storage, but you would have no way of booting it). The Rockbox installation process patches an original firmware file which you supply, so if you point it to the latest SanDisk firmware for your device during Rockbox installation, it will update the original firmware *and* install Rockbox.[Saint]
