[Rockbox 3.13] Podcast tab

Hello,
i own Sansa Clip + and in original firmware there was separate tab for music, podcasts and audio books, and for each tab the separate bookmark was set. It was very convenient for me, as I often listen to podcast than stop it and listen to music. It would be nice to go back to the point i recently ended listening to podcast after listening to music. Is there any way to add separate tab for podcasts? Audiobooks are not so important (i preferer paper ones ). Its realy annoying that i need to look for podcast in my whole library.

I believe Rockbox treats podcasts like audiobooks. There is a very nice Bookmark function you can use for them.  Here's the manual page:

You can use bookmarks regardless of the type of audio in a file.

And there is no "tab" (there aren't any tabs at all) for podcasts. You can use bookmarks and enable loading the bookmark when starting a file. Or use the "Recent bookmarks" menu entry.

Why is this necessary and how is this supposed to work?

When using the file browser you can simply put all podcast files in a folder "podcasts" (or similar). When using the database you can create a custom database view that shows all podcasts, given that all your podcasts can be identified by some tag.

FWIW most people are not familiar with this.  If you want to suggest something, you need to explain it otherwise people are going to ignore you.

We couldn't give a monkey's what the OF does, if something is a good idea then explain why it is a good idea on its own merits

The “Automatic resume” option does the trick for me.
