Clip+ freezing
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:29:58 AM »
So I've finally got round to installing rockbox on my clip+ as I have a 64GB card and the refresh times are painful on the standard OS.

I've been using rockbox with a 32GB SDHC for the last couple of days and it's been pretty flakey. Songs will freeze in the middle every hour or so of listening and I've had to restart the device 4-5 times a day so I figured reinstalling the standard firmware, then reinstalling rockbox would clear it all up.

Now i've tried this it seems to be even worse, the clip+ won't start up if there's a memory card in, either my 64GB or 32GB card (both are fat32 formatted), it just freezes on the Rockbox logo - without a card the boot time is just as fast as ever.
If i put the card in after i've already started the player then it won't freeze immediately but initialising the database gives this error and a crash:
"Undefined instruction pc:0000003c sp300000-(goes off screen)
bt end"

Booting into the original firmware everything works fine (besides the refresh times) and there are no problems with the memory cards.

Is there a cleaner way to wipe rockbox and restart than installing the original and then rockbox again? Or is that the only way, I've googled around a bit but couldn't see too much on the memory card crashing. Thanks.
