Sansa Clip+ - I can only add songs using the original firmware
usputni_boem:
When I transfer songs from my computer to Sansa, I can't play them - they're not even visible when I turn the player on.
However, when I turn the player on using the original firmware and then plug it in the computer, I can transfer and play songs, but only using the original firmware. Newly transfered songs still aren't visible on Rockbox.
How do I solve this problem?
cereal_killer:
Have you checked your "file view" settings, that "show files" is set to all or supported?
See: http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansaclipplus/rockbox-buildch8.html#x11-1340008.2
usputni_boem:
Yeah, it's set to all.
cereal_killer:
Could you please give us a little more details on your problem? Which sansa device with which rockbox version. Which operating system on your computer? Are you using rockbox or the sansa firmware to transfer songs? Are you using a computer program to transfer songs or are you using drag & drop? Where do you put your files (in which folder)? Mp3s or other file types? Which folder structure are you using on your player? Does the rockbox file browser not show the files, or does the database not show them too?
Describe the procedure, what you are doing to load and play files and we can try to find out what the problem is.
usputni_boem:
Sure.
Sansa Clip+, Rockbox version 3.13.
I'm using Windows 7.
When I use Rockbox firmware, the player doesn't show files, so I have to use Sansa firmware.
I'm using drag & drop (copy & paste) to transfer songs.
I put files in a folder called Music.
Files are MP3s.
Both the file browser and the database aren't showing files.
I'm not sure what you mean by folder structure?
