Welcome to the Rockbox Technical Forums!
Is this a feature that is selectable, does Rockbox NOT allow you to adjust the line out level on the bottom connector and am I doomed to use the original software for my trip. Or is this something I can enable through the menu system that I have missed??
As I said being a sound engineer the the fact that the original software did allow it used to be frustrating. HOWEVER I know it is possible to be adjustable and wondered if this was an option within rockbox (the default being the sensible fixed level) and if not a current option what would be involved in changing this.
The major problem is the line output level on higher level tracks combined with EQ settings can overload the inputs on the Communications. I had considered a simple fix of just reducing the input gain on the unit I have BUT then the quieter tracks become a problem (It all comes back to the standardisation of audio levels being pushed with highly compressed audio meaning the actual and perceived levels are different),
It did not occur to me that Rockbox would disable a feature. I have spent over several weeks designing and making a comunications system to do what I want on the bike only to find the feature disabled now.
