random playing of folders
« on: May 16, 2013, 02:40:20 PM »
i have my music organized in big folders, with artists inside, eg.. rock, dub/reggae, 80s, hiphop... etc..
is there any way i can restrict the random playing to just one of these? like just listening to random playing of my hip hop folder, and not get a dub track on... and viceversa...
the problem is my mp3s are not properly tagged , so i cant really use the 'genre' to sort them out...

Sure, just browse to that folder and then randomize playback.

I would do this by starting with a blank playlist and inserting just the desired folder - then toggle random.
