[Sansa Clip+] Selected song doesn't play

Hey all,

I 've got a Sansa Clip+ running 3.13.

I am having an issue through both the database and file browser methods of finding and playing a song. When I select a song to be played, the player doesn't play the song I had selected. Instead it just plays a song that was:

1. Either in that folder (if in file browser mode)
2. In that album (if in database mode)

It's almost the display and the actual files are out of sync.

Could anyone help me out?

How are you selecting the track to play? Make sure you press the *select* button (I believe the middle button on the clip), not the *play* button.

Yeap, I am pressing the center button to select the track.

The play button is the 'up' button. So won't work.

Can you get these files to play at all? Perhaps they are corrupted and the decoder is skipping them .

Turn off Automatic Resume, which I'm assuming you enabled, possibly accidentally.

They certainly play. If I keep pressing 'next song' I eventually get to it.

I am sorry about the triple post. I may have found out a pattern here.

When I turned off the shuffle mode, the database and file method works. BUT, only if I select the first song. When I turn on shuffle, it reverts to picking a random song instead of the one I choose.

Which makes me think that RockBox is treating my 'song selection' like a folder selection. In otherwise, when I choose a song, it chooses to play the folder.  So, if I have shuffle on, it starts with a random song in the folder. If shuffle is off, it players the first song in the folder regardless of whichever song I choose.

Does this make sense to anyone?

YES!!! This works. Made the selection to 'yes'.
