Sansa Clip+ Please help to remove Pitch control from play button

Hi  Like in Subject, I real wont to remove Pitch control from play button, but I dont know how to recompile Rockbox, never do this I would like to avoid. This  Pitch control on  play button is sick and give 0 simplicity, otherwise they give 100% frustration because time to hold button is too short.

I read in many places that and other things pissed off people. 
I'm curious why Rockbox does not allow to change the general buttons in the same way as for adding shortcuts, and give it two options, click and holding the #sek.
Why I can not set the on/off "automatic sleep" to the shortcuts ?
There are many things that pissed me but I will not complain. Remove Pitch control from play button is enough for my happiness, or change holding play button time to 2 sek. or more.

Because I never recompile Rockbox I have a request. If anyone do this (removed Pitch control from play button or change holding play button time) for him self on ver. 3.13 please let this share with me.

What is best for you, in this situation, is to get over whatever it is that is stopping you from doing this yourself.

If someone else does this for you (which is somewhat, but not completely, unlikely),  you will forever more be stuck with that build...so, what happens at the next release? What happens if a feature gets added tomorrow that you desperately want as well? Do you re-post here and beg someone else to re-compile for you? ...you see where I'm going with this?

The other (slight) issue is GPL compliance, which can be a hassle. If someone distributes a Rockbox binary, they must distribute the source upon request, ...even if someone digs that binary up out of an age old post or some forgotten internet archive multiple years later, regardless as to who the intended recipient is/was. So a person doing a good deed in helping you can be opening the door for a world of hassle they didn't expect should they ever lose track of the modifications to the source that compiled said binary.

Our wiki has a LOT of information available for anyone who would like to set up a development environment and start compiling Rockbox themselves, and either myself or others would be happy to point you in the right direction and show you the bits you'll need to poke at to get what you want done.

Rockbox has many bugs, but I prefer to have that build permanent, than to bother with this f#####g useless pitch control.  I deals with many things, but I do not want to waste time just to install a new compiler and learn how to compile RockBox.

their's a strong dark force (known to a few as "ReadBox") that want us to get tangled in the pitch screen hell.  The RockBox Devs added an option to disable pitch adjustment but the dark "ReadBox" forces broke it.  I don't use the [||/>] button.  A short [Power] well pause the player.  And if the dark forces have you trapped in pitch screen hell, two short [Power] presses will set you free and put you into a pause state in the main menu.  To resume playback press [Home].

I'm pretty sure the people who assigned the buttons did it deliberately, not by mistake. By dismissing their work as "mistake" it's unlikely to get changed, as well as by only complaining instead of arguing how to do it better.

Only when you update. Nobody requires you to update on a regular basis -- if you have a build you're happy with you can keep it like as long as you like. Rockbox doesn't have a best-before date, and doesn't self-destruct after a given date.

This is not the kind of attitude that will get much attention on your not-yet-existing "proposal" on how to change things. If Rockbox has that many bugs, where are the bug entries you filed? And there are people out there that consider pitch control extremely useful. Just because you don't like / need it it's not "useless". And why is learning new things wasted time? Is compiling Rockbox really that complicated or are you just saying so without knowing? Have you tried? People work on Rockbox in their spare time, they won't change things if someone comes up with that kind of attitude.

Crafty ehhh yes I know that, next bad idea. After what I read, I know what is the RockBox message: confusing, this is the key. For RockBox the simplicity and functionality is enemy number one.
Use the Power button to pause, back and exit at the same time is a bad idea. Anyone who have fun with RockBox know it. I try to avoid writing on the forums about foolishnesses, I have not installed RockBox yesterday. I wrote on the forum because I not found the solution on my own. Turns out that the only way is to recompile RockBox on my own, and as I wrote that I want to avoid...

ehhhh now we are at the starting point.

Instead of replying, already one of you could be kind enough to make me this compilation. Probably you think I'm ordinary kid who is not looking for solutions alone and just install RockBox first time. I'm not mad, I do not know English well, so I can write incoherently.

When I met with RockBox first time, I read what that will give me: new opportunities and functionality, but really gives only: confusion, simplicity and functionality is enemy of RockBox, at least for the time.

I use RockBox only for appearance, and I like selected style ONLY when playing and use Radio, change large icons on a small list is also a.... bad idea, at least in my opinion.
I am sorry to write but in terms of: ease of use, RockBox not up to Piet to the original software.

Regarding the functionality of this I submit a proposal:
- add a new folder options "buttons" (or something like that) and in these options add change the various buttons to .... something alse

No way. I asked on forum about the change for me, not for the rest of the members. Discussion is when someone support something and someone does not support something. Not when someone support something and someone changes his mind.
I described how I see a change for the better.  Add a new option for buttons, this removes problems such as: Pitch control on play button, keypad lock on 2 buttons not like in standard, etc... More people will have less problems.

I'll tell you bluebrother why I not change my mind. Me and all my friends do not use this option (Pitch control/speed control) for listening. Is not everything, I have not met anyone who uses it, not only on MP3 player but always.... I'm not saying that it is useless for all, but for most.
I bet that RockBox did not sounding members with question "would you like to have the least useful function on holding Play button, so that accidentally enter it?".

It sounds like it'd be better for you if you just uninstall Rockbox, seeing as how buggy and useless it is.
