Get into disk mode??
(1/1)
killerloader:
Because my ipod has corrupt sectors, i can't copy songs easily to it, so i want to try to delete the partition and make to smaller (20GB instead of 120GB, this partition will be located in a different area on the hard drive)
BUT i can't delete the ipod's partitions unless the ipod is in DISK MODE, which i can't do with rockbox/EmCore
Is there a way to resize/move my partition, or a way to get into disk mode with rockbox/emcore installed?
I can do it before installing them, but then EmCore just formats the drive and undoes it all :/

Think i solved it...
After i installed emcore, and all the partitions were wiped, i opened "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" and for some reason it thinks that my ipod is unallocated space???? (Every other program sees it as FAT32) because of this, it game me some tools that i usually couldn't use, such as 'Create partition' so i created a partition around 70GB in and 20GB from the end (Making my 120GB ipod only 20-30GB)
And Around this area, there seems to be no bad sectors, so i can use my ipod properly :D

LOL. I must say that's kind of a fun solution, though I'd probably be sprouting for a new hard drive. Good you got it fixed though! Another tool which is quite powerful is gparted on linux. You can always run this from a linux live cd.
