REQ: "Old Fart Bump"

Hi there,

The older one gets the more one's ability to hear the very high notes declines. With the help of automatic weapons and dragsters that came early, so at 49 I need to ask for an Old Fart Bump option. A menu choice that kicks up the very highest frequencies a few db. Not enough to deal with a 10 band eq, just a bit. Get your parents to test it.

Does the treble control not do what you want?

It does too much. It boosts the entire top range. All I (we) need are the very highest frequencies up a notch. (Trial and error testing required.) With music this gives the feeling of a larger, more open sound stage. It does to those of us who watched the moon landing live on a 25 inch B&W TV anyhow.

It seems unnecessary to add yet another menu option for this when you can do it with the eq though.

I'm trying to clarify.  You say the highest adjust on the eq is not specific enough to the frequencies you are looking to increase?  Or is it that it doesn't boost them enough?
