Ipod video 5.5 30Gb and usb line out play

I bought a 2010 Toyota Highlander that has a video unit for the backseat. It has a line in feature, and since it does not play video from a usb stick, I thought and Ipod video would be the next best solution. The Apple firmware plays just fine, but I cannot disable the USB HID function in the Apple firmware, so eventually, the battery would die. Enter Rockbox. However, despite enabling Line Out, I cannot get a video to display via the line out. It only shows on the Ipod LCD.

Am I missing something?

Huh?  Line out is audio.  Not video.

Let me ask that a different way then. Is there a way to play video via the usb cable as a line out?
