sansa clip + usb problems

my 4gb sansa clip + has rockbox 3.13 on it.

for the couple of weeks it was recognised by my pc (W7) when connected by usb.
now though it isn't recognised by it.

if i boot it with the sansa firmware it is still recognised.

anyone know why this would change from being recognised to not?

i've tried re-installing rockbox & a couple of days i tried the latest dev build but it is still the same.

i know others have had issues but i don't understand why it would change.

make sure the player is not plugged in then click start>devices and printers and remove all instances of any sansa clip+ icons you see. this usually clears things up for me when i'm having problems.
