64gb microSD Supported by OF, not Rockbox

(1/1)

nintendoeats:
I just got a Sansa Clip+ and installed the newest version of Rockbox on it. My 32gb card works with both OF and Rockbox, but my "Sandisk Ultra" 64gb card appears only to be detected by the OF... at least that's how it appears.

When I launch rockbox with the (fully loaded) 64gb card inserted, it hangs. Even if I take the card out, the player is unresponsive until I restart it. Will it eventually update itself, or is it incapable of reading that card/that many files?

evilnick:
What filesystem is the 64GB card? It's likely to be exFAT, which Rockbox doesn't read.

Try reformatting it to FAT32 and RB *should* be able to read it, as will the OF.

saratoga:
The sandisk firmware doesn't support SDXC, so if it works hes already converted it to FAT32.

If it crashes it sounds like some kind of driver bug.

nintendoeats:
That's correct, it's already FAT32. I'm going to try leaving it on tonight and see if it simply needs a long time to read the database, but that doesn't seem to be how it is supposed to work.

EDIT: I just booted into Rockbox again and it works fine this time. It must be an unrelated issue. Mysterious.
