Sansa Clip + bricked after Rockbox installation ?
(1/1)
Arkane Derian:
Hi guys,
I've just received my Sansa Clip + this morning and I tried to install Rockbox on it. I followed every step described in the installation guide minutely. The installation seemed to be fine (I saw the Rockbox menu on my sansa's screen after the firmware update) so I repluged it to fill it with my mp3. And that's when everything went wrong...
Windows 7 doesn't recognize the sansa clip + anymore so I can't access it via my file manager or Rockbox. But the worst part is that the sansa clip screen show the USB plug picture (plugged or unplugged) and none of the buttons respond, even the power button.
Is there something I can do to or is my player definitevely bricked ?
gevaerts:
Have you tried resetting the player by holding the power button for at least 30 seconds?
Arkane Derian:
It didn't work either but, by doing that, I noticed the "hard reset hole". So I put a needle in it and... VoilĂ ! The Sansa Clip + finally switch off and everything works fine since then. I don't really understand what happen in the first place and I hope it won't happen again.
Anyway, thanks for the tip !
