In my previous rockbox version there was this function in settings. Unfortunately I can't remember the version, can say only that it was described as something like "having warm sound". Can I add this function to 3.13? I think a little battery economy would be useful.

I don't remember anything like that.  I also can't remember us removing any features.

This sounds like you've been using an unsupported build. Rockbox never used any kind of release names or the like. An unsupported build might have included such a feature.

Yes, it was certainly an unsupported build, but how can I add this feature to 3.13?

sounds like a Ipod shuffle emulator theme.  Maybe a .WPS with no instructions.  That way the setting menu will still work.

for the Clip Zip
There is brightness control.
Also the backlight has an [off] setting.  However, I had to use the usb to turn it [on].  There must be another way.

I wrote a theme that does what you want, i think.  I tried ton the Clip + and Clip Zip.
Menus, brouser, context, and playlist still works.  I use it for poker tournaments.
