Remove files from database
« on: April 10, 2013, 11:35:55 PM »
I'd appreciate any help on this. I am using version 3.13 on a Mac and a Sansa Clip+. I deleted music on my Sansa through my computer but I have songs stuck in my database. I cannot find these songs in any folder, either through Rockbox or my computer. They remain in my database, where they take up space and I can play them.

I have tried:
Using "Initialize now" and waiting
Using "Update now" and waiting
Updating Rockbox (I started having the problem using 3.11 and am now in 3.13)
Changing file settings to "show all"
Booting with the OF and looking around
Looking in various forums and in the manual for a solution

Any help finding and removing these files would be very helpful.

Thanks much.

I think you can go to properties of a file in the database and see where its stored on the disk.  Once you know that you can just delete it from your computer.

Check / clear the trash bin in Finder while the player is attached. OS X doesn't delete the files until you empty that.

Emptying the trash in Finder did it. Thanks much.
