Installed 3.13 - What does this mean?
(1/1)
Carson Dyle:
Using the Rockbox Utility, I just installed Rockbox 3.13 on my Sansa Fuze V2. Everything looked like it went smoothly. I updated both the firmware and fonts. It's an 8 GB Fuze and the internal memory has 368 MB free.
Under Info > Rockbox (Base) it shows "3.10/3.9.1". Is that expected?
Under Info > Fonts every file is listed in black and has a version number of 3.13. But under Rockbox (Base) every file with a version of 3.13 is displayed in red. Some theme and wps files show a version number mostly of 3.9.1 and are in black.
Did 3.13 install successfully? What does the "Rockbox (Base)" version number mean, and what does the red color for individual files indicate?
Carson Dyle:
I uninstalled Rockbox completely, then reloaded 3.13. Now, the Rockbox (Base) shows 3.13 and the 3.13 files are all listed in black.
The Rockbox Utility doesn't appear to be terribly smart in this regard. I imagine you have to go through this periodically to clear out old orphaned files and to convince the utility of the actual version number loaded on a device.
