Cataract & 3_eyed_jack update v1.3
« on: March 24, 2013, 05:52:43 PM »
Few days ago I tried to post a theme on the download site and it would not take it because I disabled user's font settings in the SBS.  It must be a new standard(?).  So, I fixed the SBS and re-bundled the themes and upload.  The only way I can gauge how much RAM my theme uses is by loading the theme and if it continues to the track without starting over it's good.  If it starts the track over, it's ok.  If it's loses the playlist, i'll work on it.  I would like the theme to maintain it playlist when changing themes.  (maybe not a big deal).

I've seen v1.2 fail on an easy font change.  It did a big skip and displayed a "ERR" in the playlist menu.  It just needed to be rebooted.

In an attempt to improve it, I replaced some of the preloaded fonts with users fonts in the fms and wps.  And use some smaller font set for preloads.  That's best I can do without remove the FMS from the theme, witch would free up more RAM.

I disable user font because some of the fonts set are hugh and we all know about the clipZ's limited ram.  I can't test them all....so good luck.

I also had problems when entering the exiting Shortcut menu when entering from the Main menu(entering form the WPS is ok).  I worked around by using the same UI veiwport for both menus.  I didn't want to do track titles in both so I dumped EQ levels.  It's crude but it's nice to see the levels in one screen.

thanks for letting me contribute.

Hey Crafty,

Maybe you didn't notice but several themes including yours are no longer working due to new theme engine restrictions introduced in January 2014: http://git.rockbox.org/?p=rockbox.git;a=commit;h=4e1c690

I fixed your code:
WPS: fix broken lines: %Vf(xxxxxx) + tag on the same line
SBS:  line 37 fixed and line 79 updated

See the files in attachments.

Would be nice if you could update it on the theme website   :)
