Sansa Clip + Can I set a Hold/ lock button?
(1/1)
Cheenis:
Firstly, loving Rockbox, don't understand why I didn't know about it before. Top work everybody!!!
I've just got myself a sansa clip+ and am new to all this customisation. I run with my player and tend to listen to 2-3 hour tracks (mixes or podcasts as 1 very long track). a couple of times I've hit a button as I've gone through a gate or something and moved on the track which means I have to stop and search for my position again which can be frustrating on such long tracks. Is there a way of making it so the player locks and doesn't respond to button presses? like the hold slider on an ipod or other such player? I'm thinking something like play the track/ playlist then hold down the home button for 5 seconds locks and then the same to unlock and make the controls respond again... is this possible, if so how would I do it?
Thanks,
saratoga:
Yeah there is a hold feature. See the manual.
Cheenis:
DOH! :-[ I'd looked it up in the manual but had found the theme file extensions as marked in the content page, so thought I had to write some sort of theme file using %mh and hadn't worked out how to do that. I'm an idiot.
sockbox:
you might be interested in cuesheet support if your files are coming with cuesheets or if you're interested in indexing the tracks on those long files.
