iriver h10 20 gb - bizzare problems
(1/1)
Krismarzyk:
Recently I've installed rockbox on my iriver h10 20 gb (it was 3.12 version). Everything was fine until last week. My DAP started to behave strangely i.e. all of a sudden the volume increased by itself up to the maximum and the scroll started to run up and down like crazy.
I've found a post on this forum of someone who had more or less similar problems and his solution was to install old bootloader i.e. 5.0 version. Yesterday, I've formatted my DAP, reinstalled iriver firmware and I've installed the Rockbox 3.13 version. Following the adivse I've replaced manually bootloader file with older version. Everything is fine except for EQ. New EQ is great, it will give more flexibility and new possibilites. However, if I turn on EQ and start to adjust each frequency the songs played on the DAP are being interrupted/suspended for few seconds and this is repated and in the end the DAP freezes. Reset doesn't help, beceause after the reset even if don't touch the EQ, but the EQ is turned on, the same problem appears (interruption of songs and freeze of the DAP).
Battery in my DAP is not fresh, I can listen to the music only up to 2 hours. However, the above problems occurs even if the DAP is being charged by the charger.
Does anyone has similar problem? Can anyone help? Please I want to use this new awesome EQ.
Many thanks in advance.
gevaerts:
How many EQ bands are you using? The PP502x SoC in the H10 may be too slow to use all ten
Krismarzyk:
I've changed almost all bands and I have crossfed, compressor and dithering all turned on.
Which DAP, on which Rockbox can be installed, has a CPU which will be able to handle all bands at the same time.
saratoga:
Anything from the last 5 years should be fine.
