To clarify - I'm not sure now if I've even tried it. I thought that version 3.13 might have been an abbreviation for version 9e7bd64-130313.

My mistake, hope it didn't confuse anyone.

Like gevaerts said, there is no 3.13 for your player, so I don't think anyone really thought you'd installed it.

I think our version numbers are confusing you...

The way to read it is:

<9e7bd64>-<13><03><13>
<7 digit git commit hash>-<day><month><year>

So, 13 March 2013, which is in fact 8 days shy of being "the latest build" as of the time of your posting.

Perhaps the link I gave you earlier (in another post) confused you, it is not a link to a specific version, it is a link to "the current build" which can sometimes change several times per day. It is the absolute bleeding edge, the build from that link is refreshed on each source commit.

The other thing that you, or perhaps I, seem to be confused about is the build type installed on the device. I can say that if you did manage to install an iPod Video (5G) build on the device, it most certainly didn't ever boot, so I think it fairly safe to say at least one of us got some wires crossed somewhere.
