Rockbox disappears after recharge (iPod 5.5)

I have the 5.5 iPod. I've installed RockBox but after the battery completely depleted and I recharged it - rockbox was gone. This happens twice. Any ideas?

Define "disappears". I highly suspect that you're simply booting into the Apple firmware. Disable the Hold switch before connecting the player to power.

disappears as in "not installed". I thought Rockbox replaces iPod's stock firmware. I never browsed the options thoroughly. Disable means don't lock the iPod and leave the Hold switch in white or check the options?

You probably mean "not currently booted".  Depending on the hold switch you end up in either the apple firmware or rockbox.  check the manual.
