Rockbox 3.13 released!

A development build is "generated from actively developed source, at times they may be buggy or even unusable." https://build.rockbox.org/

Could you please stop nitpicking? The current release is almost four years old and horrendously out of date. There have been nearly 2,000 commits since then... There's literally no reason to keep using 3.13.

If the difference between a dev build and release were a mere nit, you've got to wonder why the dev build hasn't made it to release.
And seems to be making no progress towards one. Despite the 2,000 commits and four years you mention.

Evidently you have no reason to use the latest release. Users who prefer "a stable release port that runs well ... has a complete manual and is supported by the installer" may do.

That isn't what the link says. Stable ports are ports we consider mature. Nothing to do with releases.

Can we please stop wasting developers time here? If not that thread should get locked imo.

Stable means a lot more than that. "In Rockbox, the term "stable" means that a port has the following parts completed..."

Sure it is to do with releases. If a port is unstable, it is excluded from the release e.g. "Unfortunately we've had to drop the Ipod Nano 2g from the list for now due to serious issues with USB. We hope to add it in a later release"

No-one's wasting developer time. If a developer thinks replying is not worth his time, then he need not reply.
