ipod video 5 classic hangs up

Why my ipod hangs up when connected to usb? Problem appears on linux,windows. I have 70 gb of disk full. Newest RB soft installed. Cant access my ipod disk from pc.

Do you have an ipod video or a classic? Usb is unstable on the classic but should work fine on the video.
