New Patch: Crossfade Mode setting for "Shuffle -and- Track skip"
« on: May 18, 2006, 01:40:56 AM »
It's up on the tracker, if anyone wants to check it out.
Basically it just combines "crossfade on track skip" with "crossfade while shuffled", so if you switch back and forth between shuffle mode and regular, you don't have to mess with your settings to have both.

everyone let me know what you think  :)

Alright, since i'm debugging this alone, i've managed to find like, one bug at a time between different releases.  Anyway, I've just posted a new version for everyone, which should *hopefully* the the last one needed (this one actually works, for one thing...)

anyway, if anyone can break it, lemme know :)  thanks!

Now that the feature freeze is lifted, would anyone be willing or able to synch this deal up with CVS and maybe try to get it included?  it is rather tiny, no real reason i can think of to not go ahead and include it  ;D

It certainly shouldn't be that hard to sync it... I can still patch it with the tiniest bit of work.

ah cool..  well as i've been away from my main PC for such long stretches of time lately, i haven't even gotten a chance to try to patch it to any current versions.

I've never tried to update/write a diff/patch file; I've only used others' patches.. perhaps I should give it a try....

would anyone be willing / able to push this patch for inclusion sometime soon?  its size-to-usefulness ratio seems just about strong enough that there shouldn't be any major resistance to the addition... anyone with me?

Personally, I would find this feature useful.

It looks like the last update to the patch was in October 2006.  Does it still apply cleanly with the current CVS?

i'm not sure, i haven't had much time to try since the beginning of summer.  however, if it doesn't apply cleanly, it would probably only be because of line-numbering changes etc, since it only really changes a couple lines of code.  anyone feel like trying for me?  I might do it later today if i ever find some time...
