broader q settings
« on: February 18, 2013, 01:11:45 AM »
I would love to see broader q settings in the equalizer.  I often try to translate eq settings from an octave based parametric eq into q and a few times i have found that the q settings in rockbox don't allow because they are not available.   for example the "lowest" q setting is .5   -  It would be great if it could go down to .1 in increments -  .5, .4, .3, .2, .1

thanks

http://gerrit.rockbox.org/407 We are in a feature freeze period now so this cant be added untill we release in a week, but it is a dead simple patch, nag someone in a week or so.

AWESOME!  well in that case making two decimal increments would be even better.. ex.  .5, .45, .4, .35, .3, etc.... down to .05

but hey, expanding it down to .1 would be just fine too!  thanks a lot and i will certainly continue nagging!   ;D

Reduce the minimum step for EQ 'Precut' value to .1dB

Generally 1dB is thought to be about the threshold for volume changes being noticeable, and maybe 0.5 dB for them being ABX'able.  Is there really a reason to want to adjust them much finer then that?
