Hi, I'm using a Sansa Clip+ and a Sansa Clip Zip, both rockboxed. One of my goals in managing my music collection is to keep my collection as intact as possible, including playlists, and be able to simply copy directories over between computers, between portable devices, etc. I keep most of my music on the external MicroSD card in my player, and I'd like to be able to copy music and playlists between multiple devices and still have the playlists work. (I'm willing to restrict myself to hardware and software that can play playlists which utilize relative paths).
My preferred organizational hierarchy is to have a "Playlists" folder at the root of the SD card, along with folders for "MP3", "FLAC", etc. I'd like the playlists to use .m3u or .m3u8, and to use relative paths instead of absolute ones, so that the playlists will continue to work if the directories are copied to another portable device or computer.
I'd like to modify Rockbox's behavior with Playlists in the following 2 ways:
1. Customize which folder playlists are saved to... in my case in a folder named "Playlists" at the root of the SD card.
2. Created playlists should use relative paths instead of absolute paths, so they will continue to work even when the directories are copied to new locations/devices.
Is this possible?
Thanks for any help.
