Sansa Clip+ fails to recognize SD card after reinserting
(1/1)
parsley:
I have Sansa Clip+ with the newest version of Rockbox (I've just upgraded to the latest release) and have the following problem with the SD card.
When I insert the card for the first time, Sansa recognizes it and lets me play the files. When I remove the card and reinsert it, the player no longer recognizes the card (behaves as if there was no card inserted). First it happened while I was using Rockbox 3.9 version, so I upgraded to 3.12, after upgrade Sansa recognized the card, then I checked what happens after removing card and reinserting, and wham! - the problem reoccurs.
I checked two different cards, Sandisk and Kingston, both 2 GB, the same problem with both. PC has no problem with both cards. I tried to format the cards (via PC), does not help.

Try a dev build.

you could also try formatting your card with a program like mini tool partition wizard home edition rather than just using windows format function. make the partition FAT32 primary.

After formatting the card with this software, sansa recognized the card. Hurrah! So I removed and reinserted the card. Back to the problem :(
Seems I will be able to use SD cards, but never put data on them via card reader, only by connecting the player via USB.

strange, i can on mine.
have you got a decent quality card? i used to have a cheap (£3) 8gb card that was temperamental like that.
i now use a samsung card which is ok.
if you have another card it might be word trying it to see what happens.
