Sansa and SD cards - can I see the card over USB?

(1/1)

My 80 GB g5 ipod just bit the dust.  I need a replacement >= 32 GB, better 64 GB.

I'm mostly settled on one of the Sansa models with a SD card (probably the clip zip, but maybe a e2xx), but I have one question:

when you connect them via USB to a computer, does it present both the internal memory and the SD card? I like to just plug the player in and fire up a sync of my music while it's charging at the same time?

Yes.

I don't understand the question -- how is that related to the SD card?

The question was "can I just plug it into the computer, have it charge and show both internal memory and the card without having to remove the card"?

The answer is yes, as you said the player presents itself on USB as two devices (like a multicard reader) for internal memory and sd card.
