iPod Classic 3G 160 gb and dock usage
« on: February 03, 2013, 04:10:38 PM »
Hello.

I am trying to get rid of apple firmware on my ipod because I want to have easier and more convenient way to copy music to it.

Rockbox is perfect except one thing: everytime I turn on my dock (harman/kardon go+play) with ipod inserted, ipod shows usb icon and does nothing. I know about holding menu button to prevent this, but everytime I turn on the dock I should take ipod off the dock,  press menu and insert it into dock again.

The question is: is there any setting or maybe patch that reverts the menu key function when inserting ipod into dock/connecting to usb. I mean is it possible to make rockbox think that I pressed menu button when I did not and think that I did not when I did?

I think it would be very useful for people who use ipod in dock mainly.

Thank you.
