About Mpeg Audio Collection (MAC2.92) freeware (or similar)

(1/1)

steak:
Hi guys,

For some years I've been using MAC 2.92 (Mpeg Audio Collection) freeware as a simple tool to list & manage my audio collection.

(I've had a look at iTunes, WMP WinAmp and such other Media Players which also work as a media library and... I don't like them... They might be good but using them feels like browsing through a literature website instead of going to an actual public library.)

Anyway MAC has a flaw : although it's said to support major audio formats such as FLAC, AAC, OGG, etc..., I've never been able to scan tags out of these files with it?

My questions are :
Does anyone using MAC know how to actually use MAC with formats other than mp3 ? (MAC support team seems outdated)
OR
Would anyone know a similar freeware which could replace MAC

I provide a link below for those who don't use MAC but would be interested to see what I'm talking about. It's "old" and "basic" but easy and simple. See for yourself...

No hurry, thanks in advance for any help.
