Question on iriver h140 - optical output port

Hello everyone,

        I've just heard of rockbox and thought that it is really amazing!

        I'm planning to get a second-hand iriver h-140 to use in my car audio system by getting a digital optical out from the player to my processor. The question is that will I be able to use the optical out port from the player after rockbox installation?

        This might be a silly question but I just want to be sure before I decide to buy it.

        Maybe later I'll upgrade the HDD of the player but I went over threads about upgrading hdd and thought it's a bit risky. So for now I just want to know whether the optical out port will still be usable after rockboxed?
