japanese text in bmark files

(1/1)

cetera:
hello everyone!
i've been using rockbox since 2008 and i love it. sorry to never be on the forums until now...

i have this problem:

i assembled a list of songs from a batch of mp3s using the bookmark function.
now i want to isolate these files and put them into a folder so i can listen to them without going to each bookmark.
but the songs mostly have japanese characters for filenames. and when i try to read the bmark file from a computer, it just gives me garbled text.

i really want to make this happen. thanks in advance for any help offered!

Hello cetera,

I am not sure, but I think this problem is more related to your computer than to rockbox. How do you open the files with your computer? Do you use a text editor? Do you have files for Asian languages installed on your operating system?

I hope you can solve your problem.

Greetings,

c_k

But a lot of my playlists are collections of a song from this album, a song from
another album, etc. This is what I am trying to do and can't figure it out.
