Clip+ messed up after a lot of attempted fixing
« on: January 20, 2013, 12:02:32 AM »
I have been using rockbox for awhile and it worked fine then one day for some reason it would hang on committing database. I booted into the original firmware but it kept saying it needs 90mb more of space, so I finally got it to mount and deleted some music, same error. In the default firmware it also hangs on "refreshing your media" and just keeps rebooting and refreshing. Then I tried reinstalling rockbox, stuck on committing database. Then I uninstalled rockbox, updated official firmware to remove the bootloader, stuck on refreshing media (even though I removed all music), then I tried reinstalling rockbox+bootloader and it gets to scanning disk then gives me a really messed up screen and turns off. What happened and can I fix it?

Try reformatting the player in Windows.

Try reformatting the player in Windows.

Every time I boot into official firmware and plug in USB I am stuck at refreshing your media and it won't mount in windows.

Edit: nevermind, taking out my sd card fixed it, i reformatted in windows then reinstalled rockbox and it booted! thanks!
