Digital "squeaks" while playback on sansa clip+

(1/1)

Orgiotto:
Kind fellow rockboxers,

I have an issue which is really annoying: I sometimes hear loud digital squeaks while playing certain tracks on my clip+. The tracks I have on are all wma at 94kbps, and I've noticed that usually this problem appears when one channel is silent or almost. On the pc the same tracks play just fine, and it's not headphones related. The OF does not show this problem. I've tried to tweak some settings (EQ, Replygain, crossfade, etc.), but it didn't help. I've also searched the web and the forum for similar problems, but I've just found issues related to background noise, which I have as well, but it does not bother me at all. Here is an example of the noise:
http://www.filedropper.com/squeak (it's a small wma file).
I really hope you can help me to find a solution because I'd really like to stick with the magnificent rockbox firmware.
Thank you so much, and rock'n'roll to all.

Can you also note down the exact instant the noise occurs and then file a bug report with a link to the file?

Orgiotto:
The noise occurs as soon as the file I've linked starts playing (I've edited the file, it's just 10 seconds of the song where you can clearly hear the noise). I'll file a bug report. Thank you for the quick answer.

Orgiotto:
I forgot to say I've tried older versions and they have the same problem.
