Update both versions with new battery icons created by Robin Ekeya. Thanks Robin, mine were done in a bit of a rush. :)

The album art has to be in 8-bit/16bit/24bit bitmaps with a maximum size of 100x100. It also has to be saved as cover.bmp in each folder.  ;)

Is your setup any different?  ;)

senab,  thanks for the great wps and build.

I have q question:
I have iTunes structured music files in iPod and those are accessed via TagCache.
To put Album Art, you wrote above, "saved as cover.bmp in each folder"
How do I do this ? iTunes directory structure is F34, F35...... and the music files exist inside those Fxx.
I do not want to rearrange the directory structure because I need to run AppleFirmware. RockBox iPod is still in beta.

Then album art won't work unless you use filename bitmaps instead.

Hi,
New Ipod user here. I can't get my album art to show up. I have cover.bmp in my folder. I used this album art when I had my iRiver so it should work right? My pic is actually 100x63, but it always showed up in my H340.

Also, does the album patch work the same way as in the iRiver (it searches for 1. cover.bmp then 2. album.bmp then 3. filename.bmp??)

Nevermind. I figured it out. I thought the daily builds had the patch, but they don't. Thanks senab for sharing your patched builds with us.

While retaining iTunes directory structure, I tried to put bmp.
For example,
K136 III 1.mp3 is in G:\iPod_Control\Music\F24
There are other music files in this directory.
K136 III 1.bmp was created, 100x97 24 bit and was placed in the same directory.
K136 III 1 is untagged and can be found in <untagged>.
BlackGlass is launched and it plays it but no bmp is shown.

What did I wrong ?

Thanks
pjo

edit
--------------------
Is  BlackGlass good for Photo ?

edit
--------------------
When BlackGlass is launched, at the top left,
bg.bmp ! or |
pb.bmp ! or |

Does this mean bg.bmp and pb.bmp are required ?

I checked WPS directory in iPod and these two bmps are there.
Why BlackGlass dispalys errors on these ?

edit
------------------------------------
I tested the bmp with iCatcher and it works.
So BlackGlass is not compatible with hoto ?
If so is it possible for you to compile BlackGlass for Photo ?

Pjo,
Are you using senab's PATCHED build? You must use his build in order for the album art to display. just unzip his build in your root directory. That's what I did and it worked

Well, the only other thing it could be is the file structure that you have it in, although from how you explained it it should work.

Pjo,
Did you say you were using a 4g Photo? The patched build in this thread is for an 5g. I think he has a patched build in the thread below:

He has also build for Photo also.

As I stated, iCatcher WPS displays Album Art correctly.

Those bmps in BG wps are for 5G so these errors are displayed, I think.

Maybe then you need to resize those bmp's to fit your screen??

Yes. That is what I was thinking of, but before doing that I would like to confirm that with senab taht resizing is the only required task for BlackGlass to run in Photo.
